"....those who have found the [Jungian] Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to be a useful instrument for assessing and describing individual differences should seriously consider abandoning Jungian theory and some of the associated language.... One alternative is to adopt the perspective of the five-factor model of personality. Each one of the four M.B.T.I. indices showed impressive evidence of convergence with one of the five major dimensions of normal personality, whether assessed through self-reports or peer ratings."
